There are some strange things, I have this record at least for 10 years now and I don't know why, but when I bought it, I heard it once and put it to way thinking, so many people talks about this album as one of the pillars of the 60's and American music and after all is a so so record. I couldn't be more wrong or maybe it was my age or what I was hearing at the time, but this record is amazing! Published in 1967 in full Summer of Love, and clearly inspired by the hippie movement, the band Love with this record reached its creative peak, led by a man, Arthur Lee, who had a knack for writing songs with great melodies along side with other member Brian Maclean, making a third album with strong orchestrations, and at the same time, a warm sound of a joyful psychedelic rock typical of west coast, but with lyrics that describe a kind of anticipation for the end of a dream, the decline of a generation, with street violence, the emergence of cynicism in the community relations, racial issues that increasingly had an impact on American society in the late 60s and drug issues. With its captivating side and its darker side, with the emergence of cocaine, making it so one of the few albums of this genre who saw what was coming. The disc opens with one of the best songs ever, the addictive "Alone Again Or" I have heard on repeat lately! If you do not like the first song for some strange reason, so you will not like the rest of what is considered, rightly so, one of the best albums ever!
